Our focus is Recovery through Education, Advocacy and Training

W.H.E.N. offers statewide advocacy training and mental health first aide and crisis psychology training. The Education, Advocacy, and Training program shall be the primary program of the organization, and we operate pursuant to IRS 501C3 regulations. All program activities shall always align with the organization purpose to be devoted to advocating for mental health consumers.

W.H.E.N. also sponsors education classes, workshops, groups, and forums that provide information, and education about mental health recovery topics, mental health community issues, anti-mental health stigma promotions, and wellness and recovery support groups for persons affected by a mental health condition or diagnosis, or other area of consumer or public interest.

W.H.E.N. advocates for mental health consumer and consumer groups through its publications, workshops and trainings that educate mental health consumers, mental health system workers, legislators, funding institutions, and the general public about the issues affecting mental health consumers.
